I am currently FULL and not accepting new clients.
I’m a therapist who uses warmth and connection to help you identify and celebrate your strengths and create positive shifts in your relationships.Therapy is a place to feel our feelings, thoughtfully unpack the mess life throws at us, and create a shared sense of support in our relationship.
Let’s explore together at a pace that feels right for you.
Couples and Relationships
Couples who call me aren’t struggling because they’ve stopped caring. They’re struggling because they can’t reach each other. Somewhere along the way it got hard to count on each other, to lean on each other in the moments that matter most. When the togetherness goes missing, it hurts more than almost anything.
When that hurt can’t be shared openly, we protect ourselves. One partner pushes for connection, the other pulls away. Soon, the defenses are talking to each other instead of the two of you. The topic isn’t the real issue, because the feeling of pushing each other away comes into every topic: sex, money, quality time, planning the future. The conversation follows the same painful script, and you end up feeling the same way in the relationship, again and again. By the time most reach out, they’ve been living inside that pattern for a long time, and they’re exhausted.
If that sounds familiar, your relationship will likely benefit from therapy. I practice Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), one of the most researched and effective approaches to couples therapy. I also draw on Gottman Method tools when they’re a good fit for a relationship. My job isn’t to referee your arguments or decide who’s right. It’s to help the two of you see the cycle you’re caught in, stop it, and build the relationship you actually want. I regularly work with polyam relationships and couples where one or many members are LGBTQIA+.
If this sounds like it could be helpful, reach out to me for a free consultation.
Families
Family relationships can be powerful sources of strength, love, and care. At the same time, serious challenges, painful experiences, and major life transitions can leave loved ones feeling stuck in negative patterns with one another. Communication may become tense, distance can grow, and even well-intentioned efforts to reconnect may lead to further conflict.
Family therapy offers a supportive space to slow these patterns down, understand what is happening beneath them, and help each person feel heard. Together, we can strengthen communication, repair trust, and develop healthier ways of responding to one another.
Your family does not need to have everything figured out before reaching out—and no single person needs to be blamed for the family’s struggles. If your family is ready to feel more connected, understood, and hopeful, contact me to learn how family therapy can help.
Youth
Growing up can feel overwhelming, especially when a young person is struggling with self-esteem, identity, or a sense of belonging. Therapy offers a supportive space where youth can talk openly, better understand themselves, and feel genuinely seen and accepted.
I work with children and teens who may be questioning or exploring their LGBTQIA+ identity, experiencing negative self-talk, or feeling unsure of themselves. Together, we build confidence, self-compassion, and pride in who they are.
Therapy can also help youth navigate friendships, social anxiety, bullying, conflict, and the pressure to fit in. They can learn practical skills for communicating their needs, setting healthy boundaries, and developing more fulfilling relationships.
Your child does not have to face these challenges alone. If you are looking for an affirming therapist who can help your child feel more confident, connected, and comfortable being their authentic self, please reach out to schedule a consultation.
