As a licensed therapist with over two decades of experience, I've had the privilege of working with a diverse clients across all stages of life. My approach is integrative, drawing from various modalities to serve each individual's needs. I take a holistic view of mental health, considering all aspects of your life including personal goals, relationships, community connections, identity, and the impacts of societal factors like stigma or racism.Throughout my career, I've been deeply committed to serving the LGBTQ+ community*, with a focus on helping gender diverse individuals thrive. I have over 25 years of experience as a generalist*, a trauma therapist and as an EMDR practitioner.
For professionals in the field, I have availability to provide consultation and WPATH Mentorship about clinical work with gender diverse clients. I'm the Founder and Clinical Director of Authentic Alliance. My therapy practice has a limited number of openings 8-1pm.

I specialize in helping teens (12+) and adults feel happier, less depressed, cope with stress, build relationships, and heal from past pain. I support clients in overcoming internalized beliefs, particularly in healing from PTSD. My training includes LGBT-Affirmative CBT, Trauma-Focused CBT and EMDR, emphasizing identity-based traumas (like racialized trauma or transphobic attacks)
I am open to seeing everyone (all genders and sexualities). LGBTQIA+ folx*, allies, and members of the kink & polyamorous communities - you're all welcome here!
I have a special affinity for Queer and Trans BIMPOC* and neurodivergent geeks, gamers, cosplayers, pups, and furries. (Fun fact: I'm in training to become a Certified Geek Therapist). As a queer geek of color myself, I know what it's like to feel alienated and othered, and I want you to feel truly understood in our sessions. I have space for new therapy clients including on weeknights.

I specialize in helping teens (17+) and adults feel happier day-to-day and cope with stress and/or burnout. I enjoy supporting people who are managing major life changes including losses. I have worked in a number of universities and enjoy helping students and people in their twenties navigate adulting. I have a special affinity for Queer, Non Binary, and Trans people, as well as neurodivergent individuals. I'm also a former software engineer, game programmer and web designer. I understand the challenge of finding work-life balance while working in Silicon Valley.
I am open to seeing everyone (all genders and sexualities) and am a generalist*. BIPOC, LGBTQIA+, allies, members of the kink & polyamorous communities - welcome in! I have space for new therapy clients before 5pm.

Ricky is an experienced private practice group administrator who holds multiple roles in our practice. Their primary role is to help you have a good first experience with our practice as you are looking for therapy. Ricky acts as our coordinator for new client first meetings (intakes). You might email with or speak to Ricky when you are scheduling a first time appointment, providing insurance information, or enrolling in groups. They can help you find the right therapist within the practice or direct you to other resources if we are not the right place for you. For our existing clients, they can help you get in touch with your provider, send invoices, update your info for payments, make appointments, or update your address.

Mental Health Billing Specialist

Ciara is an experienced Mental Health Billing Specialist for our practice. You might message or speak with Ciara if you have questions about information you receive from your insurance company or if you'd like to follow-up about deductibles, copays or out-of-network insurance claims. We always recommend you check with your insurance before getting started with your therapist in our practice. Ciara can talk with you if you feel you are getting conflicting information. We encourage you to let her or our office manager, know if your insurance or copays change.
